Here is what I do on a Windows Mobile 6 STD device to display the device screen on the desktop screen which is then emitted to a projector:

  1. Download and install the ActiveSync Remote Display tool included in the Windows Mobile Developer Power Toys.
  2. Copy the two files – cerdisp2.exe and killproc.exe – from “C:\Program Files\Windows Mobile Developer Power Toys\ActiveSync_Remote_Display\devices\wce400\armv4” to the “\Windows” folder of the device.
  3. Run the ActiveSync Remote Display from desktop. If prompted a dialog saying “unsupported OS or CPU” or something, just ignore it.
  4. Depending on the security settings of the device, you may be prompted for permissions on the device. You need to select “Yes” of course.

There are also some 3rd party tools such as My Mobiler and dotPocket to do the same or perhaps more. I have never used them before but maybe you’d like to have a try.

That worked a treat thanks so much! Is there any way you can resize the screen? the bottom of the device I’m using is cut off on my display and a re-size option could fix this. Any ideas?
